"God Leads His Dear Children Along..."

Sometimes a beautiful choral arrangement comes along that just hits you.  If it were gymnastics, you would say it "stuck the landing."  Baseball, it's a home run.  You get the point.

Such is this arrangement of the old hymn by George A. Young, "God Leads Us Along", arranged by Jay Rouse from his "Piano Series."

The choir does such a wonderful job with this. It's one of those where you are just sure there are more than 13 of them!

The words of this song are amazing, particularly the refrain section:

"Some through the waters,
Some through the flood;
Some through the fire,
But all through the blood.

Some through great sorrow,
But God gives a song;
In the night season
And all the day long."

Listen to the choir present this great piece and enjoy the range of emotions the text and the arrangement provide.

Children's Church

It's always a blast when the Children's Church performs with us during worship!

We know that the Bible tells us in Matthew that when the disciples asked Jesus who would be the greatest in his Kingdom (heaven), He answered them, "Unless you turn and and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

Clearly, children held a special place in the heart of Jesus!

It's awesome that we have these kids involved with our church, and it's great to have adult leaders who are willing to give of their time and talents to work with them.

Here they are singing "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" and "I Love You, Lord" for us.
